As is true of all good books, some parts were cut during the editing of 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter. (What was perhaps unusual in this case was the editor's insistence that in order to make sure all the low quality writing was removed, the book would have to be published "without the words.")

At some point, the decision was made to remove one chapter entirely: an agonized description of what it is like to take a vacation with teenage daughters. Here is that chapter: perhaps, after reading it, you'll agree that it should have been removed!
